About the Project
Omega Trust S.R.L., a member of the Smart Alliance cluster focused on the ICT sector, as Beneficiary, implemented during the period August 4, 2017 – August 4, 2020 the project entitled:
“Increasing the competitiveness of Romanian companies through the development by Omega Trust of a new innovative self-assessment platform specialized in cybersecurity”, SMIS Code 2014+ 115612.
The project aimed to achieve its main objective, namely the development of an innovative self-assessment platform specialized in cybersecurity, with applicability across the entire Romanian economy.
The total approved value of the project was RON 2,310,209.62. The approved non-reimbursable funding amounted to RON 1,851,723.90, of which RON 1,481,379.12 was financed from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Competitiveness Operational Program 2014–2020, and RON 370,344.78 from the national budget.
The innovative platform developed within the project contributes directly to improving the security level of scanned IT systems and, implicitly, to enhancing the overall level of cybersecurity in Romania.
The project generated added value both by creating an innovative national-level service that significantly improved the ICT security environment and by increasing access for Romanian companies—especially SMEs—to IT audit and security services.
Additionally, the project contributed to the development of an ICT platform by a Romanian SME, delivering vertical solutions applicable across the economy (with a focus on sectors such as e-commerce and banking), thereby supporting the overall competitiveness of Romanian companies.
During the post-implementation period (2020–2023), the project remains open to partnerships and collaborations within the Smart Alliance cluster to ensure the continuous development of the innovative application.
